# pos-tagger

A Brill-style English part-of-speech tagger: a tokenizer, then a tagger that looks each word up in a built-in lexicon of about 92,000 entries and applies eight contextual rules. Tagging is coarse and best-effort. For high accuracy on arbitrary text, the README points to a statistical or neural tagger.
