Leads the engineering behind AI and data across Deseret Management's portfolio of companies. What the portfolio companies are not doing:

  • Running pilots. In-house Synaptic AI tools are live across KSL, Bonneville International, Bonneville Communications, Deseret Book, Deseret News, Deseret Digital Media, Temple Square Hospitality and Beneficial Financial Group.
  • Paying by the row to move their own data. Data Hub replaced Fivetran and pulls from 100+ social accounts and data feeds.
  • Adding a SaaS seat for every workflow. At Bonneville Communications, time, expenses, billing and ad operations run on company-owned platforms.
  • Betting on one AI vendor. Synaptic Chat and Code run on multiple model providers.

Leads the team that builds and runs:

  • Data Hub: company-run ingestion that checks for missing data, even when a job reports success.
  • Governed BI: plain-language questions over company data, limited by company, role and column.
  • Synaptic for Microsoft 365: a person's own mail, files, calendar and Teams in the AI tool they choose, with the permissions they already have.
  • Synaptic Chat and Code: AI chat for every team and AI coding for developers.
  • Operations and finance platform: time, expenses, budgets, invoicing and revenue accounting.
  • Ad operations platform: campaign builds, approvals, automation rules and publishing.
